Graduate AI Software Engineer at Hunter Bond

Role Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade backend systems using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop distributed, high-performance services and APIs for AI-driven platforms.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, scalability planning, and system optimisation.
- Implement best practices in testing, CI/CD, and performance monitoring.
- Work heavily on AI tooling and agentic coding agents.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the engineering organisation.
Skills and Qualifications
- A Computer Science degree from a top university (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Durham etc.).
- Strong Python skills (FastAPI preferred; Flask or Django also considered).
- Experience with agentic coding tools is useful.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices — testing, CI/CD, clean code.
- A genuine interest in AI systems, automation, and applying engineering to real-world impact.
