Head of People & Culture at Humiint

They need senior-level leadership to build the infrastructure for a thriving workplace—without the commitment of a full-time executive hire.

We’re looking to connect with experienced Fractional Heads of People & Culture who can blend strategic foresight, emotional intelligence, and operational excellence. This is a perfect opportunity for seasoned HR leaders who want to support early-stage and growth companies in building resilient, high-performing teams on a flexible, part-time basis.

This role is ideal for hands-on leaders who enjoy partnering directly with founders and CEOs to define company values, implement "People Ops" foundations, and navigate the complexities of scaling—all while ensuring the employee experience remains world-class.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Developing the "People Roadmap" to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Culture & Engagement: Defining core values, driving employee engagement initiatives, and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy: Designing hiring processes, employer branding, and structured interviewing guides (beyond just sourcing candidates).
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Building seamless onboarding flows to ramp up new hires and managing sensitive offboarding transitions.
  • Performance Management: Implementing review cycles, feedback loops (e.g., 360s), and goal-setting frameworks like OKRs.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Setting up HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR), creating employee handbooks, and ensuring local labor law compliance.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Establishing salary bands, equity frameworks, and competitive benefits packages.
  • Founder Coaching: Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design and conflict resolution.

Required Qualities

  • Proven experience as a Head of People, HR Director, or People Ops Lead.
  • Strong background in scaling startups or working in fast-growth environments (0 to 100+ employees).
  • Deep understanding of the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention.
  • Proficiency with modern HR tech stacks (e.g., Lattice, Ashby, Gusto, Notion).
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and firmness.
  • Ability to switch between high-level strategy and "rolling up your sleeves" execution.
  • Prior freelance, consulting, or fractional experience is a strong plus.
