Job Description
Role Overview: Fractional Hospitality Consultant
At Humiint, we partner with boutique properties, restaurant groups, and experiential brands aiming to elevate their service, often struggling with inconsistent standards or operational friction. The Fractional Hospitality Consultant transforms ordinary visits into unforgettable experiences without the overhead of a full-time VP of Operations. This role is ideal for seasoned hoteliers, restaurateurs, and service architects passionate about customer journey mapping, operational auditing, and elevating brand standards. You'll apply your expertise flexibly, helping properties maximize reputation and revenue, perfect for former General Managers or corporate hospitality executives seeking to design service standards and optimize operations for multiple properties on a part-time, project-based, or advisory retainer basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience Design: Map the end-to-end customer journey to identify friction points and create intentional moments of delight.
- Operational Auditing: Conduct comprehensive reviews of current workflows across all departments to identify inefficiencies, waste, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Draft and refine manuals and service standards that dictate staff interaction with guests and facility management.
- Revenue Optimization: Analyze pricing strategies, menu engineering, and ancillary revenue streams to maximize profitability per available room or seat.
- Staff Training: Develop and deliver training programs to elevate service culture, improve communication, and empower frontline employees.
- Concept Development: Advise on layout, design, and service models for new property openings, concept pivots, or major renovations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement mystery shopping frameworks and feedback loops to ensure consistent service standards across all touchpoints.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Review: Evaluate current supplier relationships and procurement processes to improve quality and reduce costs.
Required Qualities
- Proven Experience: Background as a General Manager, Director of Operations, or senior executive within the hospitality sector.
- Service Obsession: An uncompromising eye for detail and a deep understanding of what creates genuine, memorable hospitality.
- Financial Acumen: The ability to read a P&L statement, manage labor models, and understand profitability drivers in a high-overhead industry.
- Emotional Intelligence: High empathy and the ability to inspire, train, and manage change among staff across all organizational levels.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to translate guest reviews, occupancy rates, and average spend data into actionable operational changes.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills to convey vision and standards to ownership groups, investors, and frontline teams alike.
- Adaptability: The ability to tailor recommendations based on the unique physical, cultural, and budgetary constraints of different properties.
