Job Description
Role: Fractional Creative Director
At Humiint, we partner with ambitious companies that have a great product but a fragmented or uninspired identity. Whether it’s leading a complete brand overhaul, conceptualizing a flagship launch campaign, or elevating the daily output of an internal design team, the right Fractional Creative Director turns a commodity into a compelling story.
We’re looking to connect with visionary storytellers and design leaders who know how to make an audience feel something. If you are an expert at defining a visual language, directing creative talent, and ensuring absolute consistency across every touchpoint, this is a great opportunity to apply your aesthetic taste flexibly while shaping the trajectory of growing brands.
This role is ideal for former agency leaders or senior art directors who want to build brand worlds and lead high-impact campaigns for multiple organizations on a part-time, project-based, or advisory retainer basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and documenting the overarching visual and verbal guidelines that dictate how the brand presents itself to the world (Brand Identity).
- Developing the central "big idea" and narrative arc for major product launches or seasonal initiatives (Campaign Conceptualization).
- Overseeing photography, videography, and illustration production to ensure all original assets align with the premium standard of the brand (Art Direction).
- Mentoring and directing internal or freelance creatives, including copywriters, designers, and video editors, to produce their best work (Team Leadership).
- Translating dry business objectives and market data into compelling, emotionally resonant creative briefs (Creative Strategy).
- Acting as the final gatekeeper for all visual and written collateral before it reaches the public to ensure absolute brand consistency (Quality Control).
- Collaborating with product and physical design teams to ensure the user experience reflects the broader brand story (Cross-Functional Vision).
- Selling creative concepts to the C-Suite and stakeholders, defending design choices with strategic business logic (Pitching & Presentation).
Required Qualities
- Background as a Creative Director, Senior Art Director, or equivalent leadership role within an agency or premium in-house team (Proven Experience).
- A strong, versatile portfolio that demonstrates a masterful eye for typography, composition, and color theory (Impeccable Taste).
- The ability to thoroughly understand the business problem before jumping into the creative solution (Strategic Thinking).
- The emotional intelligence to critique work constructively, separate personal ego from the project, and elevate the output of junior creatives (Leadership).
- A mastery of narrative structure, understanding exactly how copy and design interact to compel an audience to act (Storytelling).
- The ability to articulate abstract, subjective creative concepts to highly analytical, numbers-driven business leaders (Communication).
- The capacity to switch contexts, voices, and aesthetics rapidly when working across different client portfolios (Adaptability).
Additional Information
