About the role
Fractional Board Director - Humiint
At Humiint, we recognize that rapid, sustainable organizational growth demands more than operational excellence; it requires a modern, agile governance structure and unbiased, high-impact strategic oversight. Many high-growth companies need the wisdom, network, and strategic guidance of an experienced board member or executive advisor—but they don't yet need, or cannot afford, a full-time, in-house board director or executive. We are seeking experienced Fractional Board Directors to provide high-impact governance, mentorship, and strategic leadership to diverse, scaling organizations. This role is ideal for visionary, seasoned executives who are passionate about translating their decades of experience into actionable strategies that directly fuel business performance and shareholder value. This opportunity is perfect for executive leaders who have a proven track record as a CEO, COO, CFO, VP, or Board Member, and who have successfully navigated complex growth stages, M&A, funding rounds, and operational scaling. This fractional role offers the flexibility to apply your top-tier expertise across multiple high-impact companies, serving as a trusted thought partner to Founders and the C-Suite.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Strategic Planning & Oversight: Provide objective input on the long-term strategic direction, corporate strategy, market positioning, and new business initiatives.
- Financial & Investment Guidance: Advise on financial health, capital allocation, budget oversight, fundraising strategy, and preparing the company for future investment or exit.
- Operational Excellence & Risk Management: Evaluate and guide the C-Suite on operational efficiency, organizational structure, scalability, and identifying/mitigating key business risks.
- Executive Mentorship & Coaching: Act as a confidential mentor and advisor to the CEO/Founders and leadership team, enhancing executive decision-making and leadership effectiveness.
- Governance Structure Implementation: Establish or mature best-in-class board and governance processes, ensuring compliance, accountability, and effective communication between management and shareholders.
- Market & Network Leverage: Open doors, build strategic partnerships, and leverage a robust professional network to accelerate business development and talent acquisition (especially executive hires).
- Performance Monitoring & Accountability: Define, track, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs, holding the executive team accountable for achieving strategic milestones.
Key Requirements May Include:
- Proven Executive Leadership: Demonstrated success in a senior executive role (e.g., CEO, COO, CFO, VP) or as a successful Board Director/Advisor for high-growth companies.
- Strategic Impact Record: Exceptional track record of designing and implementing strategies that directly resulted in measurable business outcomes, such as significant revenue growth, successful fundraising, or operational turnaround.
- Broad Business Acumen: Deep expertise in one or more core areas (e.g., finance, sales, marketing, technology, operations) with a strong understanding of full P&L management and enterprise-wide challenges.
- Governance & Fiduciary Experience: Familiarity with board-level responsibilities, corporate governance best practices, and the fiduciary duties of a director.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, challenge executive thinking constructively, and build trust quickly with founders and leadership teams.
- Prior experience as a fractional, interim, or consulting executive/board member is a strong plus.
Additional Information:
- Autonomy: Set your own pricing for services rendered and manage your client portfolio.
- Flexibility: 100% Remote (with optional on-site if desired). Flexible schedule and client engagements across industries and verticals.
