Overview
Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Utilization Management Administration Coordinator contributes to the administration of utilization management by performing varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.
Responsibilities
This role provides non-clinical support for policies and procedures ensuring the best and most appropriate treatment, care, or services for members. Responsibilities include performing computations, handling semi-routine assignments, and interpreting area/department policies while working within defined parameters. You will have some latitude over prioritization and timing while working under minimal direction.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years administrative or technical support experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to quickly learn new systems in a Windows environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 codes
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Prior member service or customer service telephone experience
- Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization in a managed care organization
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time Zone. Occasional weekend and overtime work may be required. Though primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings is expected.
