As our Lead Application Architect for the Archer platform, you will lead the strategic evolution of our GRC capabilities: shaping architecture decisions, driving our transition toward Archer’s NRGX platform, and influencing how risk, cybersecurity, and compliance operate across the organization. The Lead Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
The Lead Application Architect – Archer Platform is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and strategic evolution of the organization’s RSA Archer IRM platform to support enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), cybersecurity, privacy, and operational risk initiatives. This role partners with business stakeholders, risk leaders, and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Archer solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements.
The architect will drive platform modernization, including adoption of Archer’s evolving platform capabilities such as NRGX, while guiding development teams, establishing best practices, and ensuring sustainable solution design. This role requires deep Archer expertise combined with strong architectural leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a forward-looking approach to cloud, automation, and integrated risk technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 8 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
- Prior project lead experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and administering RSA Archer IRM solutions in enterprise environments
- Proven experience architecting scalable Archer applications, data models, questionnaires, workflows, integrations, and access models
- Strong understanding of enterprise GRC domains including IT risk, cybersecurity risk, third-party/vendor risk, compliance, audit, and privacy programs
- Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture decisions, solution design reviews, and platform governance standards
- Experience guiding development teams, mentoring junior resources, and providing technical oversight across the solution lifecycle
- Expertise in Archer platform administration, configuration, upgrades, and environment management (on-premise, SaaS, or hybrid)
- Experience integrating Archer with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, identity platforms, vulnerability tools, or security ecosystems
- Knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate risk and business requirements into technical architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or leading adoption of Archer’s NRGX platform or participation in Archer modernization/upgrade initiatives
- Exposure to cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud-hosted Archer environments or enterprise cloud transformation initiatives
- Experience with Archer SaaS deployments, cloud migration planning, or hybrid architecture strategies
- Background in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or platform strategy roles within GRC or risk technology programs
- Experience integrating Archer with ServiceNow IRM, OneTrust, or other enterprise risk/privacy platforms
- Knowledge of AI governance, digital risk, or emerging risk management technology use cases
- Professional certifications such as Archer Certified Consultant or other relevant certifications.
- Experience working within highly regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government, or public sector environments)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and DevOps practices for enterprise application platforms

Work-At-Home Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Compensation and Benefits
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
Pay Range: $129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
