The Learning Designer & Enablement Manager at Human8 is a pivotal role focused on enhancing performance by bridging the gap between knowledge acquisition and practical application. This position strategically blends learning design with practical, on-the-job enablement, ensuring that acquired knowledge is immediately actionable in real-world client and colleague interactions. You will be responsible for architecting comprehensive learning journeys that integrate skill development, high-quality content, and tool proficiency, empowering teams to execute key business propositions and strategic priorities.
This role combines the principles of learning science with hands-on enablement, creating diverse learning assets such as experiences, playbooks, job aids, videos, and micro-learning content. Every asset is meticulously designed to foster mastery and achieve measurable results in daily work, blending instructional design, platform and content ownership, and performance enablement to drive significant business impact.
In essence, the Learning Designer & Enablement Manager designs and delivers the entire learning journey, developing the content, tools, and experiences that transform knowledge into tangible capability and strategy into effective execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Management
- Own and maintain the global internal enablement calendar, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the Portfolio Transformation roadmap and critical business milestones.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to effectively sequence, prioritize, and execute global initiatives across Human8's four regions, mitigating change fatigue and maximizing adoption.
Global Platform Implementation & Experience
- Lead the end-to-end rollout of a new global learning platform, acting as the vital link between technical implementation and the human user experience.
- Drive strong engagement and retention by leveraging community features, social learning, and personalized user journeys, treating the platform as a product requiring continuous optimization rather than a one-time launch.
Accreditation Program Design & Curation
- Design and scale a flagship accreditation program that transcends conventional checkbox learning, requiring learners to demonstrate applied proficiency through evidence-based tasks and real-world validation.
- Design and own the comprehensive process of creating (writing/developing), curating (licensing/partnering), and rolling out high-quality content in phases across six critical pillars:
- Consultative Mindset & Behaviours: Cultivating a consultant's approach to provide clarity and confidence for decision-making.
- Marketing Fundamentals & Expertise: Developing skills to frame client challenges through marketing hypotheses and outcomes in Brand, Innovation, and Experience.
- Uncovering insights (The Human Spark at Human8): Enhancing abilities in discovering profound insights.
- Communities, Closeness, Culture: Building competence in applying Human8's flagship offers in Communities, Closeness, and Culture.
- AI Tools & Workflows, and research methodologies: Ensuring competence in applying and utilizing AI tools, workflows, and various research methodologies.
- Our Positioning: Establishing clarity and practical application of Human8's core purpose.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to train them on effective content creation (how to codify tacit knowledge into scalable learning assets) and support their efforts in executing relevant global initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience: Possess 5+ years of experience within a research, evidence-based consultancy, or marketing agency environment. You must deeply understand the pace, language, commercial pressures, and realities of professional services, as well as the crucial role of research, insights, and evidence in best-in-class strategy.
- Marketing Fundamentals: Demonstrate a solid grasp of marketing fundamentals and the disciplines of brand strategy, communication and creative, innovation, and/or experience.
- A Consultant, not just an Executor: You must be able to diagnose root causes before prescribing solutions, actively listening for performance impediments and designing interventions that address systemic issues, not merely symptoms.
- Culturally Adaptable: Thrive in global, matrixed environments, adept at navigating between local nuances and global consistency.
- Propositional Passion: Exhibit genuine excitement for the Human8 purpose and proposition, viewing yourself as an internal ambassador capable of inspiring others through your work.
- Learning Experience Design: Understand that adults learn by doing. You should have proficiency in blending micro-learning, social collaboration, and on-the-job application (70-20-10 model), and appreciate how learning and development directly connect with business-critical tasks.
- Platform Literacy: Possess experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), knowing how to drive adoption metrics beyond simple login rates.
- Content Curation: Have a keen sense of when to build versus buy content, and be resourceful in identifying and locating the best materials. Maintain a sharp editorial eye, capable of distilling complex commercial topics into simple, memorable assets.
