Web Development Manager

Overview

HubSpot is seeking a Web Development Manager to lead the new DX-AI team within the Marketing Web Development organization. The team develops innovative digital solutions that integrate AI into HubSpot’s web experiences, impacting millions of users globally.

Responsibilities

AI-Powered Digital Solutions: Leverage third-party LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Gemini) to build and maintain AI-powered features. Enhance generative AI search for smarter, personalized content discovery. Evolve AEO strategies to improve content visibility across HubSpot.com. Manage LLM proxy infrastructure in partnership with DevOps, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Build and support internal tools for content generation, automation, and increased developer efficiency.

• Ensure data security and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Team Development: Mentor a hybrid team of AI specialists and front-end developers. Facilitate one-on-one performance reviews and foster career growth. Encourage an inclusive, innovative, and continuously learning global team culture.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years managing an engineering/development team and 8+ years as a senior-level engineer. Hands-on experience with Node.js, cloud services (AWS/GCP), APIs, serverless architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and testing best practices. Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, Agile methodologies, and recruitment practices. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Exposure to responsible AI principles and emerging AI developer ecosystems is beneficial.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the HubSpot CMS and understanding of SEO/AEO principles. Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana or CloudWatch.
