About the Team

The Portability Team, within the Account Management product group, builds products to help upmarket customers maximize their HubSpot experience, such as Sandboxes and Multi-Account Asset Copier.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3-5 engineers as a player-coach.
  • Contribute hands-on coding and design (approximately 75% hands-on).
  • Develop scalable, high-quality, and reliable systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical and business goals.
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical excellence across the team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Years of experience delivering high-impact, cross-team projects.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and familiarity with Java, HBase, Vitess, Kafka, GraphQL, and Dropwizard.
  • A blend of hands-on technical contribution and leadership.
  • Proven ability to build solutions with significant organizational impact.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing product vision.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive cash compensation package (annual range approximately $227,400 to $382,100 USD) along with bonus targets, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. HubSpot emphasizes transparency and fair compensation practices.

Work Arrangement & Onboarding

This role supports both remote work and in-person onboarding at a regional HubSpot office. Engineering team members are required to attend a regional HubSpot office for onboarding, with additional in-person events for broader product teams.
