About the Corporate Business Development Representative Role at HubSpot
As a Corporate Business Development Representative at HubSpot, your primary goal is to identify and engage with “good fit” companies through strategic prospecting. You'll leverage HubSpot's existing leads and generate new interest using various channels like calls, emails, and social media.
When connecting with prospects, you'll delve into their business challenges to assess how HubSpot can provide a valuable solution. Once a qualified prospect is identified, your objective is to articulate HubSpot's value proposition clearly and succinctly, fostering interest in a deeper conversation with an Account Executive.
You will work closely with 2-3 dedicated Account Executives, collaborating daily with them and your fellow BDRs to devise innovative strategies for uncovering new opportunities.
Responsibilities of a Corporate Business Development Representative
- Conduct high volume prospecting to identify qualified leads, including new users and potential customers.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Account Executives to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies and plans.
- Schedule online product demonstrations for qualified leads, consistently meeting monthly goals.
- Understand customer needs and challenges effectively by utilizing established sales methodologies, such as BANT.
- Carry out market research to continuously broaden HubSpot's customer base.
Role Requirements
- A strong desire and commitment to build a career in Tech Sales.
- Prior sales or prospecting experience, especially in a high-growth, “scale up” environment, is a plus but not strictly required.
- Fluency in English is essential for this role.
- Possess a sharp focus on your goals and demonstrate a robust approach for achieving them.
- The ability to effectively address and overcome objections, coupled with an openness to coaching.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are critical for success.
- A genuine passion for helping businesses grow and an active curiosity about the tech industry.
