Job Description

About the Business Development Representative Role at HubSpot

As a Business Development Representative, you will strategically seek out and engage “good fit” companies through thorough prospecting. This involves generating new interest through a mix of calls, emails, and social media messaging.

When you connect with a prospect, your role is to understand their unique business challenges to determine if HubSpot can offer a valuable solution. Once a qualified prospect is identified, your goal is to clearly and concisely communicate the value of HubSpot and secure their interest in a more in-depth conversation with an Account Executive.

You will work closely with 2-3 Account Executives, collaborating daily with them and your fellow Business Development Representatives to develop innovative strategies for uncovering new opportunities.

Responsibilities of a Business Development Representative

  • Conduct high-volume prospecting to identify qualified leads, including new users and potential customers.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Account Executives to develop and implement appropriate prospect strategies and plans.
  • Schedule online product demonstrations for qualified leads, consistently striving to meet monthly goals.
  • Understand customers’ needs and challenges effectively by utilizing established sales methodologies, such as BANT.
  • Carry out comprehensive market research to expand HubSpot's customer base.

Role Requirements

  • A strong desire and commitment to build a career in Tech Sales.
  • Sales or prospecting experience, and experience working in a high-growth, "scale-up" environment are advantageous but not strictly required.
  • Fluency in English and at least one East or Central European language is essential.
  • A sharp focus on achieving your goals and a proactive approach to meeting them.
  • The ability to effectively deal with and address objections, coupled with an openness to coaching.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping businesses grow and a keen curiosity about the tech industry.

What HubSpot Offers

  • A flexible hybrid working policy designed to suit your preferences.
  • An environment with amazing colleagues to learn from and dedicated mentors.
  • Interactive employee training and a comprehensive month-long onboarding experience.
  • A clear career path with regular promotion tracks.
  • An education allowance up to €4,250 per year and a free books program for continuous learning.
  • Flexible paid vacation days in addition to 25 annual paid days off.
  • Access to mental health coaching and sessions via the Modern Health app, alongside other health benefits like Life Assurance, long-term illness cover, and a fitness reimbursement of up to €250.
