About the Role

HubSpot’s Employee Technology (ET) team seeks an Automation Platform Technical Lead to enhance intelligent automation capabilities using emerging technologies such as AI, MCP, and Agentic. The role involves hands-on technical work, guiding citizen developers, and advising business leaders to drive business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on technical work using a variety of technologies including iPaaS, PaaS, AI, SaaS, open-source, and custom software.
• Expand automation capabilities and drive adoption across HubSpot.
• Collaborate, architect, and advise citizen development pods.
• Partner with leaders to design solutions and review work for quality and compliance.
• Document strategies and create playbooks to scale the Center of Excellence model.
• Mentor and support citizen developers and IAEs across the organization.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Scripting or software development experience (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Java).
• Experience with cloud-based systems integration and low/no-code tools (Workato is a plus).
• Proven ability to solve business problems iteratively with new technologies.
• Experience in leveraging AI and advising on department level solutions.
• Knowledge in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and messaging technologies is a bonus.
