About the Role

HSBC is inviting applications for the Stage Assistant Business Manager - Cross Asset Salle de Marchés France role. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international financial markets within the Business Management team of HSBC Europe Continentale.

Team Overview

The role is part of a 6-person team responsible for operational efficiency in the trading and sales activities of the trading room covering Global Markets products including Forex, Rates, Credit, and Equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking financial, administrative, and organizational tasks.
  • Prepare reporting on staffing, activities, and regulatory demands (ECB, PRA) across regions.
  • Monitor compliance with trading room obligations and business continuity data.
  • Support cost control activities for MSS operations.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving infrastructure and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and HR teams.
  • Manage updates to the SharePoint platform for key market information.

Job Conditions

The internship is a 6-month full-time position starting January 2026, based on-site at 38 avenue Kléber, Paris 16.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be pursuing a Bac+3 to Bac+5 in finance or business, proficient in French and English. Essential technical skills include Visual Basic development and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook); SQL is a plus. Experience in Back/Middle Office or accounting is desirable. Candidates must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and work effectively under stress.
