About the role
Senior Manager Product Owner - CIB COO
The purpose of the role is to manage product development, product governance, and Go-To-Market strategy for the assigned product within the global electronic payment portfolio, such as real-time payments. This role requires an individual to engage with product stakeholders and risk stewards at all levels globally, ensuring that Global Payment Solutions (GPS) delivers a world-class Virtual Accounts platform used across multiple markets. The individual needs to ensure that our products remain compliant with regulation and global standards while managing risks. This role requires the incumbent to have experience across treasury, payments, compliance, and IT product development, with a proven track record driving digital transformation.
In This Role, You Will
- Be responsible for delivering global projects aligned to the global product and technology strategy for Virtual Accounts, following due governance, reviewing and prioritizing business requirements, tracking risks/issues, addressing management reporting, and managing benefits tracking.
- Perform the role of the Global Product Owner for Virtual Accounts in prioritizing the project delivery schedule and maintaining the backlog of features and functionalities for future enhancements.
- Engage stakeholders across GPS Technology, Digital Technology, Operations, Risk Stewards, Market Infrastructures, and other partner teams, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and timely delivery of projects.
- Support the formulation of product strategy for Virtual Accounts, as well as the global commercialization framework and plan for assigned products to increase market share in line with the strategy for Global Business. Support country and regional teams in commercializing product features/material enhancements.
- Support the execution of business financial objectives, inclusive of global, regional, and local initiatives. Implement business-as-usual and growth initiatives; continuously improve operating efficiency and manage the product risk profile.
- Support the rationalization of product solutions to provide consistency and cost savings to the organization, especially in identifying opportunities to provide a consistent offering globally.
- Support the development of next-generation solution requirements by carrying out research on customer needs, emerging market trends on Virtual Accounts, infrastructure development, and the global regulatory environment, leveraging market insights and analysis in collaboration with client-facing colleagues and in-country teams.

- Ability to lead and influence a large group of people who will not have a formal reporting relationship with the individual.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders at a global level and get necessary decisions taken within desired timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to coach/mentor junior product managers in the team.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English are expected.
To Be Successful You Will
- 12+ years of experience in product management within banking, fintech, payments, or cash management.
- Strong knowledge of Virtual Accounts, cash management, treasury services, and payment platforms.
- Strong understanding of virtual account structures, including account hierarchies, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Clear grasp of how virtual accounts support cash management, liquidity optimization, and client needs.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML, sanctions, onboarding controls, and operational risk frameworks applicable to Virtual Accounts.
- Proven experience in product management, product commercialization, IT and operations, process improvements, or project management disciplines.
- Practical knowledge in solution development, business case development, and requirement analysis are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.

- Responsible for the Virtual Accounts product proposition within the Domestic Payments value stream globally by identifying client/market requirements, business case analysis, project governance oversight, including managing the investment portfolio for Change the Bank projects and development of globally consistent product functionalities on an end-to-end basis.
- Support in the formulation of product strategy as well as the global commercialization framework and plan for Virtual Accounts, to increase market share in line with the strategy for Global Business. Implement and drive the business-as-usual commercialization plan and adapt in line with market developments.

- Proactive management of the risk level of Virtual Accounts constantly, by conducting end-to-end product reviews outlining all key dependencies, input sources, capabilities, and risks. To ensure complete transparency, business improvement opportunities, and recommend/implement risk mitigation steps as necessary.
