Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will be a Highly skilled and experienced Senior GCP DevOps Engineer with over 8 years of experience. You will provide strong leadership and guidance to the technical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. You will demonstrate expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing its various services and tools to drive efficient and effective solutions. You will implement and maintain service management practices, ensuring optimal service delivery, incident management, and problem resolution. You will stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the engineering practice. You will mentor and coach team members in application architecture, data management, and AI technologies. You will ensure security and compliance by design (least privilege, secrets management, vulnerability management, auditability) aligned to enterprise controls. You will embed SRE/operational excellence practices: monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, capacity planning, and resilience engineering. You will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), improving release speed, reliability, and repeatability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers.
• Implement and manage solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ensure robust service management, incident, and problem resolution.
• Drive innovation through staying updated on emerging technologies.
• Mentor team members on architecture, data management, and AI.
• Ensure security and compliance by design.
• Embed SRE and operational excellence practices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools like GCE, GCS, BigQuery, AirFlow, Cloud SQL, Networking, IAM and Google Cloud SDK.
• Strong DevOps experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Python and Shell script.
• Prompt engineering and hands-on experience with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms. Exposure to AI concepts or participation in AI-related projects is considered an advantage.
• Strong understanding of service management principles, with experience in incident management and problem resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in GCP and project management are highly desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects.
