About the Role

HSBC is looking for an experienced professional to join its Global Internal Audit team as an Audit Analytics Analyst. In this role, you will support individual audit teams by using automated, analytical tools to improve audit effectiveness and by designing technology-enabled auditing solutions.

Main Activities

  • Capture risk drivers across HSBC Lines of Business, Functions, and regions.
  • Perform innovative tests of control using digitised data.
  • Conduct continuous tests of control with advanced analytics.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools to support Audit Analytics.
  • Develop sustainable processes to manage analytic operations.
  • Enhance knowledge of data sources and structures across functions.
  • Design, build, and deliver data analytics solutions for Audit.
  • Implement agile approaches for audit technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in data analytics or dynamic IT programming.
  • Strong proficiency with Python, with QlikSense and SQL as plus skills.
  • Experience with machine learning or AI is an advantage.
  • Audit experience, either external or internal, is beneficial.
  • University degree or equivalent in computing, information systems, mathematics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions.
  • Strong project management skills.
