Assistant Director - Decision Systems

This role is accountable for the delivery of transformation and embedding of Future State Decision Systems technology into Regional environments. This job manages change initiation, design, and delivery and is accountable for the successful delivery of the program and ensuring benefits realization. They will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, and the FCS Team to ensure successful delivery of Decisioning technology into the regional market and its introduction into operational service. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director - Decision Systems.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support and oversee the implementation of fraud & credit strategies in decision systems for multiple markets.
  • Provide SME consultation in design to business stakeholders for initiatives and changes to decision strategies.
  • Support the definition and design of Decision Systems Technology Strategy and implementation, i.e., build Cloud-based Cognitive decision infrastructure for implementing Advanced Analytics with performance at scale.
  • Collaborate with IWPB teams to deliver a consistent Cloud-based Decisioning Infrastructure across Underwriting, Originations, Fraud, and Account Management.
  • Support the rollout of Future State decision systems across any HSBC markets.
  • Implement best practices and standardize the change management process across various regions.
  • Create global standard service levels & deliver MI to support operational monitoring of Future Decision Systems service.
  • Support the rollout of Future State Decision System across HSBC markets.
  • Adhere to defined SLAs and deliver MI to support operational monitoring of Decision Systems service.

To Be Successful You Will

  • Hold a Post Graduate degree/ BTech/ BE or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 9+ years of a successful track record of leading technology (functional) projects with aggressive timelines across the organization.
  • Must have led projects in the Fraud & Credit Lending Landscape.
  • Have exposure to Banking Analytics or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of decision systems.
  • Understand both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Experience with Vendor Decisioning or Analytics product(s) is preferred (e.g., Experian Power Curve, SMg3, SAS Intelligent Decisioning, SAS Viya, Fico Traid, Provenir etc.).
  • Experience in Cloud, Digital Technology, and Cognitive/AI platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with DevOps Methodologies.
  • Possess a strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data quality, visualization and dashboard design, and regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Have strong programming knowledge of Python, TypeScript, React, and SQL.
  • For candidates focusing on data delivery aspects of the role, possess relevant experience on standard industry tools like Dataflow, Airflow, DAG, Spark, DBT, Big Query, Bigdata.
  • Looking for a strong tech lead in UI development (REACT/NODE) or Python development (application programming) or SME decisioning tool (Power Curve, SMg3, SAS Intelligent Decisioning, SAS Viya, Fico Traid, Provenir).
