Administration and Business Support – Foreign Exchange at HSBC

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Administration and Business Support – Foreign Exchange.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to business profitability by providing effective support functions, including processing, checking trades, payments, and confirmation of Inter-bank/Corporate and E-Treasury transactions.
  • Work independently to complete assigned tasks within established timeframes, managing regular assignments without constant reminders.
  • Handle phone interactions with customers, focusing on prompt, efficient, accurate, professional, and courteous resolution of requests to foster customer loyalty.
  • Act as a checker and approve deals where payments will be generated.
  • Manage Pre-settlement & Settlement for all Foreign Exchange, Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS), Non-Deliverable Forward (NDF), and Money Market (MM) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to mitigate settlement and market risk.
  • Investigate post-settlement exceptions for Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions promptly and accurately (where applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline.
  • Work experience in Foreign Exchange.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Cantonese language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Ability to write business letters and reports, with good conversational/telephone skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
  • Proficiency in understanding and interpreting numeric data.
  • Minimum basic computer knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work shifts.
  • Ability to build rapport and relate to a wide range of people.
