About the role

About the Job

Our client is a venture-backed, high-growth product design firm and global consumer goods innovator engineering next-generation consumer electronics, hardware devices, and physical lifestyle products. We are seeking a highly creative, visually driven Industrial Designer to join our fully distributed Global Product Design division. In this critical, hands-on role, you will help bridge the gap between creative imagination and physical manufacturability—taking concepts from raw sketches and digital 3D models into refined, production-ready product geometries.

Why Join Us

  • Total Remote Design Freedom: Collaborate with a premium, distributed team of world-class creatives using a modern digital workspace stack, virtual design review sessions, and remote-first agile project cadences.
  • Accelerated Creative Trajectory: Step into a role where your personal sketches, CMF (Color, Material, Finish) matrices, and 3D CAD data configurations are actively incorporated into real products destined for mass global distribution.

Responsibilities

Concept Generation & Sketching
Translate ambiguous design briefs into clear, highly aesthetic 2D visual ideations, digital sketches, and functional product layout renderings.

3D CAD Surface Modeling
Build and iterate high-fidelity 3D parametric and surface geometries using industry-standard engineering software, ensuring absolute design intent integrity.

CMF (Color, Material, Finish) Selection
Author comprehensive CMF specification sheets, researching sustainable polymers, textiles, metallic finishes, and texture applications that match brand aesthetics and manufacturing metrics.

Cross-Functional Design Alignment
Collaborate closely with internal mechanical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and digital product managers to refine internal configurations, parting lines, and draft angles.

Design Validation Testing
Prepare, evaluate, and detail digital prototypes, collaborating with external rapid-prototyping labs to analyze physical fit, ergonomic values, and structural performance.

Visual Presentation Design
Design highly polished, narrative-driven presentation decks to clearly communicate design evolution pipelines, user-experience workflows, and product concepts to senior executive leadership.

Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Designer, Product Design, Transportation Design, or an equivalent heavily technical, quantitative, or creative arts design discipline.

Design Portfolio
Submission of a digital design portfolio (link or PDF format) is strictly mandatory to demonstrate your structural sketch style, 3D form development, rendering capabilities, and technical problem-solving logic.

Experience Level
0 to 2 years of professional experience. This is an entry-level position; robust industrial design internships, university product studio capstones, or an outstanding personal portfolio highlighting real manufacturing constraints are highly valued.

Technical Software Literacy
Foundational, hands-on command of 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360) and 3D photorealistic rendering suites (such as KeyShot), paired with high proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Preferred

Bilingual Language Fluency
Professional verbal and written proficiency in Korean is highly preferred to facilitate cross-border manufacturing alignment and coordinate seamlessly with international factory networks and toolmakers.

Initial, foundational understanding of standard mass-production processes, such as plastic injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and manufacturing assembly logic.

Familiarity with UI/UX digital design concepts or basic physical prototyping mechanics (3D printing, CNC routing).
