About the Senior HR Professional Role

Howlett Brown is seeking an experienced Senior HR Professional for a contract consultant role. The position is remote/hybrid, seconded to client. You will provide expert HR advisory support with a strategic focus on employee relations, workplace investigations, and international, including U.S., employment law. This role involves advising senior stakeholders, supporting culture and DEEI initiatives, and contributing to operational strategy for employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide international employment law aligned HR and employee relations advice.
  • Draft and review HR policies, contracts, and advisory reports.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and roundtables.
  • Support culture and DEEI initiatives with strategic HR input.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, Talent Development & Culture teams, and boards.
  • Support operational strategy for employee engagement and relations.
  • Provide management information and reports on employee relations.
  • Drive and sustain change with clearly documented processes.
  • Flexibly work adjusted hours to align with the U.S. market.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including to the U.S., as required.

Core Skills and Standards

  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience with international exposure.
  • Strong understanding of international and U.S. employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and Employee Engagement platforms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A relevant HR qualification or post-graduate degree.
  • Exceptional customer service and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Ability to distil complex legal and factual issues into clear advice.
