Main Purpose of the Role
The Field Service Engineer provides worldwide onsite technical assistance to customers, covering overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding, installation, and commissioning of steam turbines and gearboxes. This role involves delivering full engineering service support and developing exceptional customer relationships through technical excellence and personal interaction.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will help shape the company's future and address global pressing issues.
What You Will Do
- Deliver a very high technical and professional level of service to customers, with a significant focus on safety and quality, aiming for on-time, in-full, to-schedule, and right-first-time execution.
- Provide detailed Site Reports to required standards, highlighting necessary actions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise Company or Customer supplied Technicians, ensuring their day-to-day safety, managing site activities, and maintaining discipline.
- Follow health and safety at work procedures and complete all required Risk Assessments.
What You Bring
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
- Demonstrated knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines.
- Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships through professional customer management.
- Proven experience and a strong focus on health and safety protocols.
- Capacity to supervise others on-site during complex installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and skilled in producing detailed written technical documents, including risk assessments, site reports, root cause analyses, method statements, scopes of work, and project plans.
- Experienced in international assignments, including those where English is not the primary language.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
- Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Steam Turbines (training provided if required).
- Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Reciprocating Compressors (training provided if required).
- Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Gearboxes (training provided if required).
- Previous experience working offshore.
