Come lead with us at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. We are seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse II for our 3 Medical unit, working 7p to 7a.
About the Role
At Houston Methodist, the Registered Nurse (RN) II position is an experienced clinician functioning at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice. This role provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintains medical records. The RN II provides direct patient care effectively and efficiently, managing varied and complex patient needs. You will communicate and collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional health care team to facilitate, coordinate, and maintain compassionate, efficient, and quality care to achieve desired treatment outcomes. You will demonstrate clinical competence in patient care, technology use, medication administration, procedures, and emergency management, acting as a patient and family advocate to uphold patient rights. This position also assumes leadership roles with progressive responsibility, including participation in unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor, and contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved education program for credentialing body.
- Twelve months of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
- Required: RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure, BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA), NIHSTROKE - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (AHA).
- Preferred: Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification.
