Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for driving projects to completion on-time and within budget while providing an exceptional experience for our owners. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating all activities with the Superintendent and project team.
- Managing project finances and internal financial reporting.
- Organizing and maintaining contract documents.
- Preparing construction schedules and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Overseeing budgets, reviewing subcontracts and managing owner change orders.
- Scheduling coordination meetings and ensuring resolution of project issues.
- Supporting on-site quality control, safety procedures and managing RFIs and RFPs.
- Managing a small team, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring.
- Participating in Hourigan's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
Qualifications and Experience
Required qualifications include:
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of general contracting experience.
- Strong skills in construction estimating, scheduling, document administration, and financial reporting.
- Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage employees and foster a team culture in line with Hourigan’s values.
- LEED certification is preferred.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
