Position Summary
Upholds the core values as determined by the management team. The Ace Sales Associate is responsible for engaging customers by determining their needs and providing tailored service. The goal is to amaze every customer every time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked department.
- Execute daily operational goals with a “Speed is Life” attitude.
- Participate actively in team huddles and store communications.
- Assist with pricing adjustments, promotional updates, and restocking displays.
- Handle special orders and coordinate with management on customer requests.
- Monitor for shoplifting and provide excellent customer service as a deterrent.
- Promote the Ace Rewards program and adhere to the S.A.L.E.S. process.
- Assist customers with inquiries, complaints, and heavy items as necessary.
- Contribute to peer training and development as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Professional communication with customers and team members.
- Prompt, friendly, and attentive customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with a willingness to learn across departments.
- Experience across various departments is strongly desired.
- Bilingual Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment
Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Noise levels are usually moderate.
