Senior Product Manager, Commerce AI & Platform
Hopper Technology Solutions is seeking an entrepreneurial and highly technical Senior Product Manager to lead our AI & Commerce Foundations Team. In this greenfield role, you will be instrumental in defining the AI strategy for Hopper's B2B e-commerce platform. Your responsibilities will span the core platform, including authentication, APIs, and partner tools, alongside determining how Large Language Models (LLMs) can generate significant value for our partners.
As the Commerce Foundations PM, you will operate at the intersection of platform architecture, AI model integration, and external partner value. This position bridges our extensive travel data, advanced AI models, and partner-facing products. We are looking for a 'smart creative' who can engage in in-depth technical discussions with engineers while consistently focusing on solving partner problems.
You are a strong communicator, adept at shipping products quickly. You leverage data and competitive analysis to identify opportunities where AI can uniquely differentiate our platform.

What Would Your Day-to-day Look Like
- Platform Architecture: Own critical architecture decisions for authentication, APIs, loyalty, and payment systems.
- Drive Partner Success: Ship features designed to significantly reduce partner integration time, moving from weeks to mere days.
- Dual-Impact Strategy: Develop products with two key audiences in mind: internal teams (Flights, Cars, Checkout) and external B2B partners, constantly prioritizing between their needs.
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with senior engineers to translate AI/ML capabilities into a prioritized and actionable roadmap.
- Zero-to-One Execution: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities and defining Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to shipping and iterating.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Coordinate efforts across engineering, data science, and partner success teams to deliver AI features that effectively address partner requirements.
You Are a Perfect Fit If You
- Have designed APIs and SDKs, understanding the principles of easy adoption and robustness.
- Challenge technical assumptions, prioritizing rapid shipping over achieving perfect architecture.
- Think in systems, comprehending the intricate connections between authentication, APIs, and payment processes.
- Have successfully built and launched at least one product from scratch, ideally within the B2B or platform domain.
- Possess 5+ years of experience in product management, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in B2B or platform products.
- Are proficient with SQL, A/B testing, and skilled in using data to inform product decisions.
- Have a track record of shipping products even in environments with limited budgets, design resources, or clear direction.
- Understand when to employ Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) versus fine-tuning, and can articulate LLM limitations (e.g., hallucinations, latency, cost).
- Have experience working with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) or implementing AI features.
- Engage regularly with customers, utilizing their feedback to drive prioritization.
- Excel at writing clear documentation, presenting to executives, and facilitating cross-team decisions.
- Prioritize ruthlessly and are capable of making effective decisions with incomplete information.
- Maintain effectiveness and focus even when priorities shift unexpectedly.
