About the Role: Software Engineer I at Honeywell

As a Software Engineer I at Honeywell, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to developing innovative software solutions that address complex challenges across our diverse business segments, including Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Energy and Sustainability Solutions, and Industrial Automation. You will contribute to projects powered by our cutting-edge Honeywell Forge software, helping to make the world smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications and systems using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineers, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality products.
  • Perform thorough debugging, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for software defects and issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve software development processes.
  • Support the integration of software components with existing systems and platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++, Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments.
