About the role

Cyber Security Architect Engineer

The Cyber Fusion Center at Honeywell is seeking an experienced Security Architect to lead our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program. This role requires a blend of project management, technical leadership, and deep expertise in system security concepts, tools, data access governance, and integration with diverse data sources and application stacks. You will collaborate across business units and IT teams to understand requirements and design effective security controls and solutions, addressing both business and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data security, cybersecurity, information security, or related fields.
  • Understanding of data protection principles and information security frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview/M365 DLP/Defender for Cloud Apps or a DSPM/CASB tool is highly desirable.
  • Implement DLP use cases, working with stakeholders to build and measure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, test, and validate sensitivity data tagging.
  • Develop and implement automated data protection mechanisms for global and organization-specific tags.
  • Create and execute communication plans to promote tagging objectives and user understanding of DLP measures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to add new data categories to the Data Stewardship Handbook.
  • Provide technical support for DLP Gap Analysis, Requirements Review, Technology Re-Alignment, Reporting, Operational Response Documentation, Policy and Governance Establishment, and Training.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify sensitive data at rest across various platforms like file shares, databases, SharePoint, and other applications.
  • Assist in the operationalization of AIP/DLP deployment, including policy management, tuning, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Support the creation of Power Automate/MS Flow workflows.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a security engineering role, deploying various security tools, preferably Microsoft DLP.
  • 5 years of experience with the engineering, deployment, or administration of Data Loss Prevention solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of CASB Solutions is preferred, specifically Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS).
  • Ability to work independently.
