The Role
In this role, you will lead, plan, and manage resources, estimates, costs, and deliverables for all telecommunications projects, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will oversee the integration of new players into the company’s expanding ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, RACI Matrix, deliverables, and creating detailed work breakdown structures.
- Building and maintaining project documentation for clear understanding of scope, stakeholder identification, goals, and deliverables.
- Ensuring project transparency through facilitated team communication, regular syncs, and executive briefings.
- Proactively managing information flow between departments via regular meetings and tailored updates.
- Monitoring project progress to identify roadblocks, resource constraints, and risks; leading troubleshooting and solutioning efforts.
- Owning the project lifecycle by chasing deliverables, ensuring accountability, and validating milestones for successful outcomes.
- Ensuring comprehensive delivery of project milestones by managing cross-departmental workflows and overseeing technical and operational analysis.
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of projects with a heavy technical emphasis on telecom network architecture and feature deployment.
- Managing the technical delivery of telecom initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between IT and Product departments for systems integration and core network functionality.
- Strongly interacting with Technology departments to ensure the Carrier department is well-supported by available technologies.
- Strongly interacting with Technology departments to ensure Carrier department initiatives are well-integrated into the company business for maximum value.
Technical & Professional Skills
Professional Background: 5+ years of experience in Telco Project Management with a proven track record of managing complex projects, sometimes from scratch.
Communication skills: Expert at translating complex network requirements into clear business value for non-technical executives. Strong negotiation skills to align conflicting priorities between Engineering, Product, and external partners.
Project Management Skills: Expertise in full-lifecycle Project Management, with proficiency in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies, underpinned by PMI/PRINCE2 frameworks and Lean Six Sigma principles. Expertise in developing complex, multi-phase Gantt charts, managing lead times for hardware procurement, and orchestrating technical milestones. Proficiency in generating data-driven Project Tracking Reports utilizing KPIs like Schedule Variance (SV) and Task Completion Rates, and providing high-level visibility through automated dashboards. Advanced capability in Risk Management, including identification, quantification, and prioritization of risks, and developing robust mitigation strategies. Strong command of Project Cost Management, encompassing budget estimation (CAPEX/OPEX), resource allocation, and burn-rate monitoring.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (Spanish would be an asset).
- Expertise in Wrike, Google Workspace, and Jira/Confluence.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on business risk management and detail gathering.
- Bonus Points: Experience in B2B Carrier Operations or provider-side contract management. University degree in Telecommunication Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Business Analytics, Business Administrator, or Information Systems. Prince, PMP Certifications. ITIL V4.
