Job Description
IT Business Analyst at HKUMed – The University of Hong Kong
The LKS Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join their team. This is a two-year fixed-term position with the possibility of renewal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit, analyze, and convert user requirements into system specifications.
- Prioritize user requirements based on business impact.
- Perform quality assurance testing before user acceptance testing.
- Prepare project documents such as requirement specifications, communication plans, test plans, training materials, and user manuals.
- Contribute to project solution delivery by coordinating with stakeholders.
- Develop system mock-ups and proof-of-concept (PoC).
- Evaluate and source IT solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Communication, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis or related fields.
- Sound understanding of business analysis practices (as-is/to-be analysis, gap analysis, fishbone analysis) and IT best practices.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Exposure to hands-on data analytic practices using tools like Python, Microsoft Excel, and SQL.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
