About the Role
Hitachi Energy is seeking an R&D System Engineer eMobility to lead a team and deliver innovative electrical system solutions. You will be responsible for defining and implementing both long-term and short-term strategies aligned with the overall organizational goals.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Contribute to R&D projects from initial concept to final product rollout. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee overall electrical system design and equipment ratings selection.
- Define battery energy levels and charging system design parameters.
- Develop protection concepts for low voltage and high power chargers.
- Perform simulations for grid code compliance and system design documentation.
- Prepare technical specifications, guidelines, and test procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for assessments and testing.
Your Background
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with expertise in Power Electronics and Control. Additional advantages include experience with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD), knowledge of network distribution, DC systems & Energy Storage, and working in Agile environments. Proficiency in English and familiarity with industry standards like IEC and ANSI are required.
