Job Description
Head of SCM Sustainability and Compliance Management
We are looking for a Head of SCM Sustainability and Compliance Management to drive supplier sustainability, cyber security, risk management and data protection activities across the business unit. In this role, you support strategy development, monitor requirements and turn insights into actions that strengthen supply chain responsibility and compliance. You collaborate with suppliers, internal teams and functional experts to build strong governance and measurable progress. You guide continuous improvement and help ensure that sustainability and compliance standards are embedded in daily operations. How You’ll Make An Impact
- You contribute to the business unit’s supply chain sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment across supplier sustainability, material sustainability, and material compliance.
- You monitor emerging sustainability trends, regulatory changes, and customer requirements and translate them into actionable strategies.
- You support cross functional sustainability and innovation projects, identifying process enhancements with measurable impact.
- You implement performance monitoring systems, prepare dashboards and reports, and track progress against sustainability goals.
- You lead the expansion of the Supplier Sustainability Development Program and collaborate with suppliers to implement sustainable practices.
- You monitor and report on supplier sustainability performance to drive data driven decisions.
- You support enforcement of supplier cyber protocols, conduct assessments and audits with the cyber team, and provide training on best practices.
- You identify, assess, and mitigate supplier risks, support contingency planning with Risk Management, and report on risk levels and mitigation.
- You ensure supplier compliance with data protection regulations and company policies, conduct assessments, and guide suppliers on best practices.
- You maintain a comprehensive supplier compliance monitoring system, prepare and present reports to senior management, resolve issues promptly, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while staying current on industry and regulatory changes.
Your background
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field, or you have equivalent experience.
- You bring at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management or compliance.
- You have strong knowledge of sustainability, cyber security, risk management and data protection.
- You manage projects effectively and work in an organized way.
- You can analyze complex information and solve problems.
- You communicate clearly and present with impact.
- You engage diverse stakeholders and support ESG goals.
- You are fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
- You work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- You maintain high standards for accuracy, governance and ethical conduct.
- You are proficient with relevant tools; S/4HANA knowledge is a plus.
