About the role
About the Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Control Lead Engineer to manage projects related to the MACH system, a sophisticated computerized system built with state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors, and digital signal processors. This system operates on high-standard application software developed by Hitachi Energy and is continuously evolving, making the Station Operating and Monitoring System (SOM) increasingly complex and customized. The role requires extensive design, testing, and verification in HMI, SCADA, Network, and Cybersecurity areas.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Responsible for detailed project planning, schedule review, budget estimation & review, and project scope definition.
- Interface with multiple engineering disciplines for technical clarifications, project meetings, and customer interactions.
- Ensure technical scope and inputs are clear to the project team.
- Act as the single point of interface between projects and the Test area, aligning project needs, priorities, and follow-ups, including inventory management for the test area.
- Manage project priorities and resource allocation within the test area, handling Inward and Outward operations to and from the test area.
- Possess knowledge of quality processes related to project execution and continuous improvement programs.
- Take ownership for project KPIs such as OTD (On-Time Delivery) and COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), manage risk and opportunity meetings, and handle change management in projects.
- Drive improvement programs in projects and processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in BE / BTech (EEE).
- 4 - 7 years of project management / project lead experience in industrial control systems or SAS.
- Control and protection commissioning background.
- Knowledge in project management concepts.
- Experience in Process and ISO audits, quality / L6S / Continuous improvement programs.
- Exposure to project planning tools, specifically MS Project.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
