This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Operations Lead to join Hitachi's Global Marketing and Sales (GM&S) team, a high-profile corporate initiative at the very centre of Hitachi Group. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customer marketing operation is scalable and marketing communication programs are measurable, repeatable, and aligned to our broader business goals. You will provide the operational backbone that frees up strategic leaders to focus on growth, transformation, and high impact innovation—while you ensure that plans turn into results.
You'll be the person who keeps everything moving, unblocking issues, resolving dependencies, optimising workflows, and ensuring priority initiatives land on time, on budget, and with measurable impact.
About GM&S (Global Marketing & Sales)

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Drive and support annual marketing planning, budgeting, and operational road mapping. Track and report on team delivery, performance, and business impact.
- Performance & Execution: Manage the day-to-day flow of marketing communications projects, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, effectively, and with clear results.
- Team Operations & Alignment: Bring cohesion across segments, market intelligence, ABM, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all parts of the team operate as one.
- Process & Workflow Optimisation: Build, refine, and own marketing workflows across campaign planning, execution, measurement, and reporting. Continuously strengthen operational efficiency and cross-team alignment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Market Intelligence, Segment Management, Group Account Management, BU Marketing, and Performance teams to ensure strategy and execution are fully aligned.
- Technology & Systems Ownership: You will establish and manage our entire marketing tech ecosystem, including marketing automation, analytics, and attribution. This involves vendor evaluation, implementation, system governance, and user enablement.
Data-Driven Marketing Operations
You’ll lead key pillars of our data-driven marketing operations:
- Data & reporting: Build dashboards, attribution models, and performance tracking to power decision-making.
- Engagement management: Define lead lifecycle processes - scoring, routing, enrichment, SLAs - in partnership with accounts and growth teams.
- Campaign enablement: Ensure systems, segmentation, and data structures are ready for every program.
- Governance & compliance: Maintain data hygiene, access controls, documentation, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
What You'll Bring
- Exceptional communication, project management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
- The ability to translate business needs into operational and technical requirements.
- 10+ years’ experience in marketing operations with team leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise with marketing automation (Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot), CRM systems (Salesforce), and analytics platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of demand generation funnels, attribution, reporting, and pipeline metrics.
