About the Shift Leader Role

The Shift Leader at Border Foods is crucial for the smooth operation of our Taco Bell restaurant. This leadership position involves overseeing daily restaurant activities, managing team members, and ensuring excellent customer service. Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of financial and operational principles.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure all food safety and health standards are met and maintained.
  • Manage scheduling, deployment, and performance of team members, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and financial procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor restaurant performance using key metrics and adjust strategies to meet targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in hiring and onboarding new team members.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize profitability.
  • Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training and development initiatives.
