About The Role
The Human Resources Specialist position at the Heritage Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office is a full-time role designed to support the HR department in delivering seamless HR services across multiple properties. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance with labor laws, and assisting in talent acquisition and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about both hospitality and HR. Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a strong HR background, preferably within hospitality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications is required, with familiarity in HR Information Systems like Paylocity being an asset. Organizational, time-management, and communication skills are essential. Candidates must also be able to occasionally lift objects over 20 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with additional HR certifications or degrees considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive interactions with employees, coworkers, and guests.
- Manage HR-related matters for field operations.
- Perform accurate data entry for onboarding and offboarding.
- Handle complex employee relations issues professionally.
- Assist in maintaining an updated employee database and generating reports.
- Participate in talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
- Ensure completion of required training and compliance documentation.
- Monitor adherence to labor laws and company policies.
- Coordinate team-building activities to boost morale.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of HR documentation.
