About The Commodity Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commodity Analyst to join our team at InCommodities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in analyzing market trends, evaluating risk, and supporting trading activities across various commodities. Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CFA or FRM will be considered an advantage.
  • Have at least 2-4 years of experience in commodities trading, market analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, data analysis tools, and market research platforms is essential.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A solid understanding of global commodity markets, geopolitical factors, and economic indicators is also necessary.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks associated with various commodities.
  • Monitor global economic indicators, geopolitical developments, and industry news to inform trading strategies.
  • Assist traders in developing and executing trading strategies based on market insights and data analysis.
  • Evaluate and manage risk exposure by utilizing appropriate financial instruments and hedging techniques.
  • Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and compliance to ensure seamless trading operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting commodity markets and ensure compliance.
  • Support the development of new trading models and analytical tools to enhance decision-making processes.
