About The Role

The position of Chief Business Analyst at National Bank offers a unique opportunity to serve as a critical link between business teams and delivery units. This role is integral to the ODLD strategic project (OSS Data Loading & Distribution), which focuses on managing and distributing OSS data across various sub-domains within the bank. As part of this transformation initiative, you will oversee detailed impact analyses, define and document comprehensive business and technical requirements, and ensure that data governance and distribution mechanisms meet organizational standards. Your leadership will support the bank’s strategic goals of enhancing data integrity, operational resilience, and service availability. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to high-impact projects that shape the future of banking services and digital transformation at National Bank.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, or Data Management.
• Several years of relevant experience in business analysis, preferably within complex, cross-sector environments like wealth management or banking.
• Proficiency in business process improvement methodologies, including process mapping, change management, and continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean, NBMM.
• Experience in developing test scenarios, supporting user acceptance testing, and providing operational support post-deployment.
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of data transformation processes—from initial uploads to database storage, API exposure, and streaming mechanisms.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and synthesis skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS, APIs, OSS, and data management is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive impact analyses on business processes and collaborate with subject matter experts to define the scope of analysis activities, planning, and execution.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, including role management, permissions, data access, system availability, and recovery procedures.
• Map and validate data provisioning and streaming flows, ensuring proper data lineage and accurate mapping across systems.
• Engage with business and IT teams supporting OSS data transformation and distribution to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Support product owners, partners, and IT teams in decision-making processes, ensuring traceability of technical dependencies and deliverables.
• Lead multi-stakeholder workshops at various organizational levels, facilitating communication and alignment among leadership, technical teams, and business units.
• Apply best practices to identify, draft, and manage business requirements, ensuring their linkage and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in designing, testing, and deploying solutions, including defining user test scenarios and supporting operational transfer and change management activities.
