Job Overview

Our client is a premier financial services marketing firm specializing in sophisticated collateral and communications for investment managers and corporate clients. They create pitch decks, investment materials, and thought-leadership content that drive capital raises, M&A transactions, and business development for leading private equity funds, family offices, and emerging managers.

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst to deliver high-quality written insights and reports for our 300+ clients. This role focuses on analyzing company filings, industry publications, and market data to identify key trends and implications. The analyst will synthesize complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise, and compelling reports that explain company performance, industry developments, and investment perspectives. This position emphasizes research, critical thinking, and strong writing skills—rather than client interaction or financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research using company filings, industry sources, and market data.
• Translate complex information into clear, well-structured reports and insights.
• Produce timely research notes, thought pieces, and industry updates for clients.
• Identify and explain trends, risks, and opportunities in companies and industries.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Strong background in equity research, investment banking, or buy-side analysis, with solid experience analyzing public companies and industries.
• Excellent writing and ability to distill complex ideas into simple narratives.
• Independent thinker with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Interest in financial markets, industries, and company performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Journalism, or related field.
• Proven ability to build and maintain financial models (Excel) and interpret financial statements.
• Proficiency with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar).

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with capital markets, investor relations, or transaction-related research.
• Exposure to buy-side environments such as asset management, hedge funds, or private equity.
• Experience preparing investment memos, research reports, or market commentary.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools or advanced Excel / financial modeling techniques.
