Overview of the Role

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist and IT Manager to join a growing team. This combined role focuses on both data management and IT system oversight, ensuring streamlined operations across various company platforms. The Data Scientist and IT Manager will support and optimize our company’s IT systems, software agreements, and digital organization while managing key data and reporting systems. This role combines the expertise of a data scientist with IT management responsibilities, emphasizing data collection, analysis, system administration, and vendor management.

Responsibilities - Data Scientist

• Data Collection & Analysis: Focus on gathering sales and inventory data for analysis, leveraging Excel, Google Sheets, and Oracle database systems.
• Systems Reporting: Utilize data from POS systems to create regular reporting on sales and inventory.
• Basic Data Analysis: Conduct essential analysis and prepare insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities - IT Manager

• System and Software Management: Manage company systems and software agreements, including reviewing, renewing, and adjusting contracts. Act as the company’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for systems.
• Vendor & Consultant Liaison: Coordinate with vendors and consultants to manage system configurations, improvements, and support.
• IT Support & Hardware Maintenance: Oversee hardware requirements and provide timely support for on-site IT issues.
• System User Management: Ensure that system user numbers match business requirements across platforms such as NetSuite, Monday, and Slack.
• Security & Internet Management: Monitor internet performance and security at HQ and store locations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in a combined data science and IT management role, with preference for large organization or retail industry experience.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle databases, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Communication: Advanced English proficiency required for communication with vendors and participation in team meetings.
• Additional Requirements:
• Sales and inventory data analysis experience is essential.
• Ability to manage IT system administration and work with third-party IT support.
• Proven ability to train and support employees on various platforms and systems.
• Experience in contract and vendor management (NetSuite, Oracle, Boomi).

Benefits

• Compensation: $4,500-$5,000 per month.
• Schedule: 8 to 5 CT - Working 6 days a week on peak season (December and July) and then a 4 days working week for 7 months a year.
• PTO: 10 PTO per year + US Bank Holidays.
