Job Summary

Prospect and solicit corporate markets to generate new catering business and meet monthly/annual goals.

The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for planning and administering events, overseeing details and collaborating with a team to ensure client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain established customer relations and generate new relationships.
  • Conduct a minimum of ten new, ten old, and ten existing account calls monthly.
  • Handle account details, complete documentation, and follow up on sales leads within 24 hours.
  • Conduct property and competitive set tours, and build referral networks.
  • Attend industry meetings, manage local outside sales calls, and review competition for lead development.
  • Meet budgeted sales catering goals for food, beverage, room rental, and audio/visual.
  • Prepare monthly forecast reports and communicate with Sales and Catering teams.
  • Create Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and coordinate event details with staff and clients.
  • Work events as required to welcome group contacts and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead team efforts.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel competitive markets.
  • Strong decision-making skills and focus on guest satisfaction.

Availability

The position generally operates Monday through Friday with flexible hours based on business demands. Occasional weekends or varied schedules may be required.
