About The Workflows Team
The Workflows Module is HighLevel’s core automation engine, enabling users to create powerful, automated workflows that enhance efficiency, save time, and improve outcomes. This module integrates with multiple product areas within the platform, streamlining processes, nurturing leads, and managing tasks seamlessly. As part of this team, you will improve existing capabilities, conceptualize new features, and deliver solutions that drive adoption, activation, and business growth, optimizing user experience and increasing efficiency.
About The Product Manager Workflow Core Role
We are seeking a Product Manager Workflow Core to join our Workflows Team. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual passionate about automation and SaaS products. You will build impactful features and refine existing capabilities in the Workflows Module, simplifying complex business process automation for users. You will collaborate closely with other Product Managers and cross-functional teams to understand user pain points, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless execution. This role is critical in driving product success through data, user insights, and collaborative teamwork.
Your Responsibilities
- Workflow Funnel Optimization: Identify and resolve gaps from workflow creation to execution to enhance activation and adoption rates.
- Time to Value Acceleration: Lead initiatives that accelerate users' ability to launch their first meaningful automation.
- Retention & Engagement: Drive efforts to make workflows a sticky, highly-used product.
- Builder Simplicity & Usability: Champion ease-of-use by simplifying concepts, refining UI, and reducing friction.
- Template & Entry Point Expansion: Launch iterative improvements to templates, hotlinks, and suggested workflows.
- Support Insight to Product Fixes: Analyze support tickets and user feedback to address confusion or setup failures.
- Optimizing Existing Workflows: Ensure workflows are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
- Manage New Features: Track, prioritize, and ensure timely execution of essential workflow updates.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with CRM, Reporting, Payments, AI, and Integrations teams for seamless improvements.
- Tracking Metrics: Monitor performance metrics to identify usability bottlenecks, activation trends, and areas for optimization.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on automation, integrations, and no-code/low-code trends to drive innovation.
Your Core Skills
- Experience in Product Management or Software Development.
- Passion for building intuitive and scalable workflow automation solutions.
- Ability to deeply understand user problems, spot friction, and make thoughtful trade-offs.
- Comfort with analyzing usage data, funnels, and support patterns for actionable insights.
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience with SaaS products.
- Strong analytical mindset for interpreting user behavior and optimizing functionalities.
- Leadership and collaboration skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Understanding of automation tools and workflow best practices.
- Ability to deconstruct complex software experiences and identify good/bad UX.
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (a plus).
- A problem-solver thriving in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
Experience
- 4 to 6 years of Product Management experience, ideally in SaaS or automation platforms.
- Proven track record of shipping complex, user-facing features in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience owning large-scale, customer-facing product platforms.
- Experience working on workflow automation tools or CRM platforms (a plus).
Deep Understanding of:
- Workflow builders, automations, and no-code/low-code platforms.
- Product funnels: activation, retention, and reducing time to value.
- Identifying UX friction points and translating feedback/support data into product decisions.
- Cross-team platform work: enabling other product teams through triggers, actions, and integrations.
- Working with engineering on large-scale frontend + backend architecture (especially builder-like UIs).
- Running feature discovery and validation loops with beta users.
- Partnering closely with design to simplify complex systems and reduce cognitive load.
- Writing clear, structured PRDs and communicating roadmap tradeoffs to stakeholders.
- Analyzing data from tools like Superset, Pendo, or Tableau to inform product decisions.
