The Quality Assurance Analyst is an integral part of Hexure’s success, responsible for ensuring high quality and reliability of software deliveries across all platforms. This role involves creating and executing test plans and test cases to ensure adherence with specified requirements, performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing using a combination of manual testing and automated tools. The Quality Assurance Analyst also supports external clients through their testing cycles, providing detailed release notes, triaging issues, and reviewing system discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Collaborate with the database team for database syncing and updates required for deployments and testing.
• Execute production deployments in accordance with change management processes, ensuring successful implementation.
• Provide accurate estimates for Change Management Requests (CMRs) and assess potential risks and impacts.
• Review requirement documentation to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and testing needs.
• Create and maintain test plans and test cases to offer adequate test coverage and minimize escaped defects.
• Create and maintain Quality Assurance matrices for test coverage, slippage ratios, and other pertinent quality metrics.
• Follow established quality control processes, test execution methods, and standards to identify, analyze, and document issues, bugs, and defects.
• Complete full regression testing and thoroughly analyze test results.
• Manage code and data migrations across multiple testing and production environments.
• Perform a thorough shakeout test after builds/installs are complete.
• Monitor the defect tracking system daily and collaborate with the development team for timely defect resolution.
• Actively participate in team meetings, such as stand-up meetings and sprint retrospectives, providing regular testing status reports.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 1-3 years’ experience testing software applications or a technology background.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with an automation platform is nice to have.
• Ability to leverage AI is a plus.
• Life Insurance and Annuities proficiency preferred.
