The Position: Product Technical Writer

Reporting to the Head of Technical Publications, you will join our Product Development team within Technical Publications. This role involves close collaboration with diverse global stakeholders and Product Managers. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering content across various platforms for a range of integrated hardware and software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Document product features in accordance with current technical publications processes.
• Maintain, enhance, and adhere to technical publications documentation and reporting standards, systems, and processes, actively participating in their improvement.
• Lead Technical Publications product documentation projects as required.
• Participate actively in Agile technical publications methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders to develop new documentation and update existing materials.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Product Technical Writer ready to advance their career, bringing their knowledge, skills, experience, and passion to the forefront. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Tertiary, Diploma, or relevant background in a related field or industry.
• Familiarity with Product Technical Writing, specifically with exposure to software and hardware portfolios and engineering processes.
• Experience working with Mining Operational technology portfolios is desirable, though not essential.
• Ability to understand complex technical information and effectively disseminate it across varied content delivery modes, platforms, and reading levels for broad external audiences.
• Ability to work cohesively across multi-disciplinary teams, supporting the gathering and validation of required processes and procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing proficiency, and a solid understanding of technical writing principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, JIRA, Snagit, and Figma.
