Responsibilities

  • Multi-Cloud Engineering: Drive the engineering of highly available multi-cloud architectures, focusing on complex hybrid and multi-cloud solutions that bridge on-premises KVM stacks with public cloud providers.
  • DevOps & Automation Leadership: Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks to enhance product build-outs and engineering velocity.
  • Advanced Tier-4 Escalations: Act as the ultimate technical authority for critical issues involving Morpheus/VME and the HVM (Ubuntu 24.04 KVM) hypervisor stack.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the development of reusable automation assets using Ansible and Terraform to manage infrastructure across diverse cloud environments.
  • Targeted IT Ops & QA Support: Assist in the maintenance of internal build and QA environments as needed, ensuring stability for the development team without primary daily management responsibility.
  • Technical Governance: Author and maintain architectural documentation, playbooks, and technical standards to ensure alignment with cloud-native best practices.
  • Knowledge Leadership: Mentor junior engineers in DevOps methodologies and represent the engineering team in high-level technical forums.

Education And Experience Required

Applicants should possess 5–7 years of technical engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud architecture and automation. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; alternatively, 5+ years of relevant professional experience can substitute for a degree.

Knowledge And Skills

  • DevOps Proficiency: Critical expertise in DevOps practices, including containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), automated testing, and release management.
  • Hypervisor Expertise: Subject matter mastery of KVM, including Ubuntu 24.04 LTS administration.
  • Cloud Management: Deep familiarity with multi-cloud management, automation, and orchestration tools such as Morpheus Cloud Management.
  • Multi-Cloud Networking & Ops: Comprehensive understanding of public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid networking topologies.
  • High-Availability Stacks: Hands-on engineering experience with Ceph, gfs2, Pacemaker, and Corosync for resilient enterprise deployments.
  • Automation Tooling: Expert-level scripting in Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible for end-to-end infrastructure orchestration.
  • Strategic Communication: Ability to articulate complex multi-cloud strategies to senior leadership and provide clear, actionable technical guidance to peers.
