Job Description for QA Engineer

This role is designed as Hybrid, requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office. As a QA Engineer, you will set and maintain quality standards for products using systematic processes. Your responsibilities include developing, modifying, and executing software test strategies, plans, and test suites, analyzing and writing test procedures, maintaining documentation to assist in debugging, and automating test execution where possible. You will consult with development engineers to resolve issues and may also lead projects and mentor junior professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Validate QA of Web GUI and REST API features in Mist Cloud.
  • Create and manage defect and enhancement tickets with Engineering.
  • Support code releases and execute regression test cases.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Engineering for issue resolution.
  • Develop technical documentation and escalate critical issues timely.

Minimum Qualifications

7 to 10 years of experience, BE/ME/MS in CS or related discipline, strong communication and programming skills with proficiency in Python.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

Hands-on experience with UI and API troubleshooting, automation using Selenium and Pytest, knowledge of JSON and Django RESTful API, and familiarity with networking technologies. Additional key skills include active learning, agile methodology, and analytical thinking.
