Account Manager, Strategic IT Solutions

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, aligning HPE’s solutions with their business priorities and KPIs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to drive growth and profitability across HPE’s portfolio.
  • Lead complex, high-value deals from early engagement through to closure, orchestrating multi-disciplinary teams and partners.
  • Build influential relationships with key decision-makers and maintain a strong professional network within customer organizations.
  • Translate business challenges into IT opportunities, positioning HPE as a critical partner in their digital journey.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and technology innovations, presenting strategic insights to customers.
  • Mentor and lead extended account teams, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 8–12+ years in account management within the IT industry, with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA or advanced technical degree a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic planning and consultative selling abilities
    • Deep IT industry knowledge (cloud, hybrid IT, AI, security, edge computing)
    • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills
    • Ability to lead teams and manage complex sales engagements
  • Bonus: Experience in vertical industries and partner ecosystems.
