Summary of Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing large, high-quality landing gear components with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, adhering strictly to health and safety standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Machine Control: pull and send programs, tool changes, troubleshooting, entering tool offsets, M.D.I.
- Interpreting setup sheets, tool lists, and Operational Detail Sheets.
- Calculating Work Offsets and indicating.
- Understanding programmed tool path.
- Managing tightening and clamping pressures to maintain ‘Free State’ condition.
- Adjusting cutting pressures/boring bars, performing spring passes, and test cuts.
- Reading and understanding G and M codes.
- Tape proving new and modified programs, anticipating machine actions.
- Performing preventive maintenance and 5-S activities.
- Conducting pre-start-up inspections with a focus on Health & Safety.
- Safely and effectively running a combined number of machines simultaneously (Combo).
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.

- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to produce large, high-quality parts safely, productively, and efficiently.
- Positive and productive interaction with co-workers and ability to take direction.
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to rotate through all 3 shifts.
- Must meet security screening requirements for ITAR/CGP directives.
