The Team
The Internal Control department at Hermès enhances company operations by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and processes. The team oversees internal controls across boutiques, corporate offices, and distribution and service centers.
The Opportunity
This Internal Controller position will add value to Hermès’ operations by supporting the Internal Control team in conducting quality audits and proposing corrective actions aligned with local laws and company requirements. The primary goal is to minimize risks, protect assets, ensure record accuracy, promote operational efficiency, and encourage adherence to policies. Additionally, this role supports the Inventory Control team in conducting inventories, reviewing cycle counts, auditing upcycling projects, and KPI reporting to senior management.
About the Role
- Perform recurring operational and analytical reviews.
- Monitor and assist with internal control questionnaires.
- Work with the Corporate Inventory Control team on Inventory management (resolving inventory issues and supporting Retail stores & distribution centers).
- Assist in reviewing inventory / cycle count reconciliations for stores and the distribution center.
- Analyze Retail / Wholesale special movements monthly and prepare analysis for Finance and Accounting teams for month-end P&L reporting.
- Travel to stores and the distribution center for physical inventories, cycle count review, and inventory training.
- Work on auditing items for upcycling / recycling projects at the distribution center.
- Compiling data and reports for external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as defined by supervisor.

About You
- 1 to 2 years of previous experience in internal audit or finance and accounting.
- Some experience in the retail luxury industry is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Audit and Finance.
- Understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Very strong ethics.
- Diplomatic and strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Autonomous, proactive, and organized.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented but able to quickly understand the big picture.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
