Overview
The Finance Business Partner at Heritage Park Historical Village plays a strategic role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis. Serving as a trusted advisor to the VP of Finance and the organization, this position ensures accurate and timely financial information to support organizational decision-making, sustainability, and growth.

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements, lead variance analysis, and produce Board-level financial reports.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning: Lead annual budgeting, partner with department leaders for scenario planning, build multi-year financial models, and update quarterly forecasts.
Capital and Asset Management Reporting: Oversee capital accounting, track projects, collaborate on lifecycle strategies, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory Oversight: Prepare for audits, liaise with external auditors, maintain financial policies, and manage compliance reporting.
People Leadership: Manage a team, drive change management, set SMART goals, and coach for development.
Applications, Systems, and Reporting: Leverage financial systems such as Business Central and Excel, enhance reporting processes, and optimize system usage.
Organizational Excellence and Wellbeing: Support Heritage Park initiatives, abide by safety protocols, promote inclusiveness, and foster a collaborative culture.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- CPA, CMA, CFA or equivalent (or in progress)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- Minimum 2 years of people management and finance project leadership experience
- Proficiency in Office 365 and financial software like Business Central
- Experience in non-profit attractions is an asset
Hours of Work
This position requires a standard 35-hour work week, with occasional holiday, evening, and weekend work in a Monday to Friday schedule.
